Anatomy of the Urinary System
The different components consists of:-
Kidneys – the organs that act as filters to remove waste products that are excreted in urine.
Ureters – the tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder.
The bladder – a ‘balloon-like’ storage container for urine.
The urethra – the tube that allows urine flow from the bladder out of the body.
The prostate – a fleshy and muscular organ in males which is situated around the bladder neck and serves a necessary function in reproduction.
