OUR SPEAKERS
Dr Khurshid Ghani is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. Dr Ghani graduated from the University of Leeds and completed urology training in Edinburgh and London. He undertook a minimally invasive urologic surgery fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, following which he joined the University of Michigan in 2013. He has authored over 180 peer-reviewed articles, and is the co-author of Endourology: A Practical Handbook. Dr Ghani’s main research interests are endoscopic stone surgery, and surgical quality improvement. He has been advancing a Dusting technique for laser lithotripsy, and is the Course Director of the Developments in Ureteroscopic Stone Treatment (D.U.S.T.) annual symposium. Dr Ghani also serves as the Director of the MUSIC collaborative, a statewide quality group in the States of Michigan comprising over 260 urologists and 46 urology practices, with the goal to improve the quality of care for patients with kidney stones, prostate cancer and kidney cancer.
Dr Enikeev is a Professor at the Institute for Urology and Reproductive Health, Sechenov University, Moscow, Russia. Dr Enikeev is currently an associate board member of EAU Section of Uro-Technology. He is an editorial board member of international journals including Current Opinion in Urology and Frontiers in Surgery. He has authored and co-authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles in international journals, as well as several book chapters. He is involved as a reviewer in different international peer-reviewed journals. His main areas of interest include endo-urology with a focus on BPH and bladder cancer, and urologic oncology with a focus on minimally invasive ablative techniques (Cryo, Brachy, IRE).
Dr Vineet Gauhar served as an assistant professor and consultant urologist both at the university and private multi-national corporate hospitals unti 2008 after receiving his Masters in Urology training in India with honours at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College. He was actively involved in training both undergraduate and specialist trainees. Subsequently, France while completing a dual Fellowship and Diploma in MIS in Urology at the National University Hospital in Singapore from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He joined as a founder member of the department of urology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NUHS) as a Principal Resident Physician Urologist. His field of expertise is MIS in Calculus Disease, Renal Cancer and Kidney Diseases.
