Webinar on DeMISTifying BPE Treatment
Sponsored by
Synopsis:
TURP has been the gold standard for the surgical treatment for prostate enlargement. Unfortunately, this procedure is not without its risks and side effects. In particular it has a significant risk of retrograde ejeculation and a tiny risk of urinary incontinence. New minimally invasive surgical therapies (MIST) for the prostate hold the promise of significantly improving lower urinary tract symptoms while minimising side effects of retrograde ejeculation and incontinence. In addition these therapies can often be done under local anaesthesia or short sedation and afford patient rapid return to activities. We discuss the Singapore experience with 3 of these technologies. Rezum (water vapor therapy), Urolift (prostate urethral lift) and Prolieve (transurethral thermodilatation therapy).
