Toh Poh Choo
Ms Toh Poh Choo is a Senior Nurse Clinician at the Urology and Colorectal Centre, National University Hospital (NUH), with 30 years of dedicated clinical experience. Renowned for her unwavering commitment to patient care, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the Centre, ensuring that patients receive safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care.
A strong advocate for nursing excellence, Ms Toh leads the clinical development of her nursing team, keeping them abreast of the latest advancements in urological care. She has been instrumental in pioneering several key initiatives, including the introduction of Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatment (MIST) for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and MRI Fusion Targeted Prostate Biopsy in an outpatient setting. Her expertise is widely recognized, earning her invitations across the region to share her insights on urology nursing.
Beyond her clinical work, Ms Toh holds several prominent leadership positions. She is the founding Chairperson and current Secretary General of the Asian Urological Nursing Association. Through these roles, she actively champions the development and promotion of urological nursing education across Asia.
In recognition of her exceptional service and dedication, Ms Toh was awarded the prestigious Efficiency Medal during Singapore’s 2022 National Day Awards. In 2023, she was also honored with the COVID-19 Resilience Medal for her courageous and selfless contributions on the frontline during the pandemic.
Ms Toh’s enduring passion, leadership, and tireless contributions continue to elevate the standards of urological nursing both locally and across the region.
Park Joon Jae
Clin Asst Prof Park Joon Jae is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital. He graduated from Bart’s and The London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London in 2006 and subsequently completed the United Kingdom’s Foundation Year programme before moving to Singapore in 2008. He went on to complete his Basic Surgical Training and Advance Surgical Training in Urology in 2010 and 2015 respectively. During this time, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
In 2018, he completed a one-year Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) fellowship in Functional and Reconstructive Urology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals under the NHS Foundation Trust in the UK. Apart from being proficient in numerous general urological conditions, including but not limited to urinary tract stones, urological cancers and erectile dysfunction, he also manages urethral stricture disease, overactive bladder (OAB), urinary incontinence, neuro-urology and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) – including Thulium or Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate.
Dr Park has a special interest in research, innovation and undergraduate/postgraduate surgical education, and speaks English, Spanish and Korean.
Bao Truong
Dr. Bao Truong brings a unique blend of experience as both a clinical instructor and a computer programmer, with over a decade working on utilizing technology to improve global health education. He has gained hands-on experience in generative AI as part of his extensive work in developing an interactive platform for student and patient engagement, and using AI to provide trainees with real-time feedback.
Ngo Nye Thane
Dr Ngo read Medicine at the Royal Free and University College London Medical School before completing histopathology training in London. She was appointed Consultant in Histopathology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2011, based at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Campuses. Currently, she is appointed as Senior consultant in Histopathology at Singapore General Hospital. Her subspecialty interests include Uropathology and Gastrointestinal pathology.
Johan Chan
Dr Johan Chan is a Consultant in the Division of Medical Oncology of the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He completed his medical oncology specialty training in Australia. As part of his specialist training, he completed a fellowship in National Cancer Centre Singapore and continued practising as an Associate Consultant. His research interest includes GU oncology and Geriatric oncology.
Yeow Siying
Dr Yeow Siying is a Singapore Medical Council-accredited Urologist. She attained Specialist Board Accreditation in Urology in Singapore and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) ( Urology) in 2018. She has initiated several new services at KTPH including minimally invasive treatment options for Urinary Stone disease and Urinary Incontinence. In recognition of her achievements, she was conferred the Urological Association of Asia ( UAA) Young Urologist Fellowship in 2021. She was awarded the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship and completed her Reconstructive and Functional Urology Fellowship in Sydney, Australia in 2022.
She is currently the Associate Programme Director for the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Urology Residency Programme and has won multiple educational accolades including the Postgraduate Teaching Excellence Award in 2021 and Undegraduate Teaching Excellence Award in 2022.
Yu Guang Tan
Dr Tan Yu Guang is an Associate Consultant with the Department of Urology, Singapore General Hospital. He manages general urological conditions with a subspecialty interest in uro-oncology and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Tan completed his medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2014, and graduated with distinction across the medicine and surgery tracks. He commenced his urology residency the following year, making him amongst the youngest trainee. During his training, he was awarded the Outstanding Resident Award on multiple occasions, and underwent the National Chief Resident Program of which he was recognized with the Outstanding Chief Resident Award. He completed his residency in 2023, where he was conferred the Gold Medalist for his top performance at the exit examination.
Dr Tan is a keen academic researcher, and he believes into incorporating evidence-based medicine to provide the best care for his patients. His main research interests include prostate and bladder cancers. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts, many of which he was the first author. He has won numerous international prizes for his research works, and was an invited speaker for regional conferences. He also completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation (MCI) during residency to complement his research pursuits.
Dr Tan believes in providing the best care for his patients. He is detailed and compassionate, and builds a strong relationship with all his patients. He has received several commendations for his clinical service.
Tan Wei Chong
Dr Tan is currently a consultant medical oncologist with the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He obtained his basic medical degree from Monash University, Australia in 2013, completed his Residency in Internal Medicine in Singapore in 2018, and subsequently completed his senior residency in Medical Oncology in 2021 in National Cancer Centre Singapore. He then joined NCCS as an Associate Consultant under the Division of Medical Oncology. He has a clinical interest in Genitourinary and Thoracic Oncology, and is involved in various research initiatives in this space
Ngam Pei Ing
Dr Ngam is a Consultant in Department Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital.
She graduated from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2011. Thereafter she was trained in Diagnostic Radiology at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital, Singapore. She obtained her specialist qualification in Radiology in 2017 and completed her residency training in Diagnostic Radiology in 2019. She then took the challenge for dual accreditation in Nuclear Medicine in 2019 and completed the training in 2021.
She has special interest in neurodegeneration imaging and initiated the new Amyloid brain PET imaging in NUH in October 2023. She works closely with the Dementia specialists in both clinical and research fields. She is also involved in setting up the workflow for the recently approved anti-Amyloid therapy for Alzheimer’s disease.
In addition, she is interested in oncologic theranostics and works closely with the haematologists and oncologists for holistic patients’ care. She is actively involved in nuclear medicine therapies such as Iodine-131 therapy, Lutethium-177 PSMA therapy and Radium-223 therapy. She also helps in various in-house and international trials/research.
Lu Jirong
Adj Asst Prof Lu Jirong graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2009 and obtained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2013. He was awarded the MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship in 2015 to pursue the Master of Clinical Investigation (MCI) at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. At the same time, he completed his Urology Residency training at National University Hospital and received specialist accreditation in Urology in 2019. He has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since then.
Under the NUH Learning Development Award (2022), he completed a Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Fellowship at Western University in Ontario, Canada. He is a diplomate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in the AFC program for Solid Organ Transplantation.
Dr Lu manages a variety of urology conditions, including oncology and benign diseases, with a special interest in kidney transplantation and minimally-invasive surgery. He actively participates in undergraduate education with both Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He is also a Core Faculty for the NUHS Urology Residency program. His research interests include surgical simulation training and translational research, having held grants in these areas. He has also participated in multiple overseas humanitarian trips providing medical and surgical care to the less privileged in the region.
Liu Zhen Bang
Dr Liu Zhenbang is a Consultant in the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2007 and was elected a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. He was amongst the pioneer year of residents who completed the NHG Urology Residency Program and attained Specialist Accreditation in 2017.
In 2014, he was awarded the Singapore Urological Association-European Board of Urology Book Prize for being Singapore’s top scorer and in 2015 he was awarded a grant from TTSH to study the best method for instillation of medications into the upper tract in live pigs.
Prior to joining Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a Consultant in 2022, he was a Consultant with Woodlands Health Campus where he was actively involved in the setting up of the Urology operating theatre and outpatient clinics for the new hospital. His area of clinical interests include Endourology, complex stone surgeries and minimally invasive techniques/laparoscopy for both upper and lower urinary tract diseases. In 2023, he was awarded the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to learn advanced surgical techniques for complex urological procedures such as retroperitoneal lymph node dissection.
On the education front, Dr Liu is currently a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a Clinical Teacher with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and is actively involved in the nurturing of the next generation of medical students and doctors.
Lim Ee Jean
Dr Lim Ee Jean is a Consultant the Department of Urology. Dr Lim received her MBBS and Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the University College London (UK) , and was subsequently elected a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She has also earned her MPH in Health Policy and Management from Berkeley Public Health in 2020.
Lau Weida
Dr Lau is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He is UK-Fellowship trained in Andrology and Reconstructive Urology. He holds a MHPE from Maastricht University, and an MBA (with distinction) from University of Northumbria in Newcastle, UK.
He is recognised within his professional community as the Vice President of the Singapore Urological Association (SUA) and the Honorary Secretary of the Society of Men’s Health Singapore (SMHS). In 2022, he organised Urofair, the annual congress of SUA, as the Scientific co-Chairperson. In 2023, he led the SUA Amendment of Constitution process.
He is a key opinion leader in penile oncology, genitourethral reconstruction, male sexual dysfunction, and Minimally invasive surgical therapy (MIST) for prostate enlargement. He has written several publications and produced surgical video presentations on these subjects. He is also a proponent of service innovation, having introduced low-intensity shockwave therapy (2018), Rezūm ablation of prostate (2021), and UroLift (2022) to KTPH for the treatment of men with sexual dysfunction and prostate problems in the northern region of Singapore.
For his excellence in clinical education, he was thrice a recipient of the NHG Teaching Excellence Award, Postgraduate level, in 2014, 2017, and 2022.
Chong Wei Liang
Dr Chong Weiliang is a Urologist with a keen interest in the treatment of conditions related to Men’s Health and reproductive medicine. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2008 and was elected a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2014. He completed his Urology residency training, attained his specialist accreditation and became a Fellow with the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2020.
His areas of clinical interests include (though not limited to) erectile dysfunction, premature ejacuation, hypogonadism, subfertility and its related treatment. He currently serves as an executive committee member to the Singapore Urological Association as well as the Society for Men’s Health Singapore. He has also published articles in various journals like the Translational Andrology and Urology Journal.
David Chia
Dr David Chia graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore (MBBS) in 2003. In the course of his medical training, he was awarded a place on the Dean’s List for outstanding performance in medical school. He went on undertake specialist training in Radiation Oncology under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, and was the first Singaporean ever to be awarded the prestigious C.E. Eddy Medal for being the most outstanding candidate in the FRANZCR Phase 1 Examinations. He completed his Advanced Specialist Training in Radiation Oncology at the National University Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR).
Dr Chia also holds Visiting Consultant positions at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and at the National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore.
Edwin Aslim
Dr Edwin Jonathan Aslim is a Consultant in Urology, and the current Director of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), at the Singapore General Hospital. His areas of special interest include Benign Prostate Diseases, especially in the emerging field of Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatments (MIST) for BPH, and also Minimally Invasive Kidney Surgeries and Kidney Transplantation. He is deeply involved in clinical research in these areas, having published original articles in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr Aslim graduated medical school from the University College London (UK) with MBBS and BSc degrees, and later obtained his post-graduate MRCS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). He completed his specialist training in Urology in 2019 with a FAMS (Urology) degree.
Anil Shrestha
Professor Anil Shrestha is a highly respected figure in urology, serving as a Professor and Program Coordinator for MCh. Urology at the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal. He also holds a position as Senior Consultant Urologist at B&B Hospital. Prof. Shrestha is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including leadership roles as Vice President and Chairman of the Scientific Committee for NAUS, and Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Committee for UAA. With a special interest in urolithiasis, laser, and flexible ureteroscopy, he has significantly contributed to the field through publications, organizing various workshops and conferences, and performing live surgeries internationally.
L. Sivaneswaran Lechmiannandan
Vijayalaxmi is Principal Physiotherapist and a certified lymphedema therapist at Singapore Cancer Society’s Rehabilitation Centre. She has over 15 years of experience working with oncology patients in both acute and community settings. She has contributed significantly various oncology rehabilitation programs at SCS including the lymphedema patient education workshop and lymphedema special interest group. She is a strong advocate of providing affordable and accessible multidisciplinary rehabilitation services throughout the cancer continuum.
Vijayalaxmi Chadachan
Vijayalaxmi is Principal Physiotherapist and a certified lymphedema therapist at Singapore Cancer Society’s Rehabilitation Centre. She has over 15 years of experience working with oncology patients in both acute and community settings. She has contributed significantly various oncology rehabilitation programs at SCS including the lymphedema patient education workshop and lymphedema special interest group. Tay Kae Jack
Dr. Tay Kae Jack is a Senior Consultant in Urologic Oncology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Associate Professor at Duke–NUS Medical School. He also serves as Director of the Urologic Oncology Database Registry at SingHealth and the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
After completing his urology residency at SGH in 2014, Dr. Tay received the College of Surgeons Gold Medal and went on to earn a Master of Clinical Investigation. He completed a prestigious Society of Urologic Oncology Fellowship at Duke University, where he trained in complex cancer surgery and advanced research in prostate cancer imaging, focal therapy, and risk stratification.
Dr. Tay has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and actively contributes to international research collaborations and consensus panels. He currently leads clinical trials focused on focal cryotherapy and prostate cancer surveillance, with a strong commitment to advancing patient-centered cancer care through research and innovation.
Li Jianxing
Dr. Li Jianxing is a renowned urologist and surgical innovator, serving as Chief of Surgery at Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital and tenured professor at Tsinghua University’s School of Clinical Medicine. With a distinguished career in urology, he is Vice President of the Chinese Urological Doctor Association (CUDA) and Chairman of the Committee of Urolithiasis Prevention and Treatment (CUPT) under the China Association for the Promotion of Human Health Science and Technology.
A leading figure in urolithiasis research and treatment, Dr. Li also holds vice presidential roles in both the Chinese Alliance of Urolithiasis and the Urology Branch of the Beijing Medical Association. His primary research interests include minimally invasive surgical techniques for urinary stone removal, particularly total ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), innovations in PCNL/RIRS equipment, AI-assisted surgical planning, and the metabolic and mechanistic study of urinary tract stone formation.
Andrea Gregori
Since 2019, Dr. Gregori has served as Director of the Urology Unit at ASST Fatebenefratelli-Sacco in Milan, overseeing a team of 14 urologists across two major hospitals and several outpatient clinics. He is also a tutor at the University of Milan’s Urology Specialization School.
A pioneer of laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery in Italy, Dr. Gregori participated in landmark procedures including Italy’s first laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and robotic radical prostatectomy. He co-developed innovative surgical techniques, such as the ProACT male incontinence prosthesis implantation under local anesthesia and a lingual mucosa flap urethroplasty, both now internationally recognized.
Dr. Gregori is frequently invited to national and international congresses to lecture and perform live surgeries. He is actively involved in laparoscopic surgical training across Italy and has a strong track record in applied clinical research, with numerous publications in leading urological journals.
Karthik Thandapani
Adj Asst Professor Karthik Thandapani, Consultant, Department of Urology, Ng Teng Fong Hospital, studied Medicine at the National University of Singapore and graduated with the Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; BS) degree in 1996. He underwent advanced urological training in Singapore where he obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2021. He went on to obtain Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeon, Glasgow in 2022.
Dr Karthik’s clinical interest is in cancers of the urinary system. He was awarded the MOH Fellowship for training in robotic surgery for prostate, bladder and kidney cancers, which he completed at the Lister Hospital, United Kingdom in 2025. He also has a special interest in benign prostate conditions, being one of the first few to perform laser enucleation surgery of the prostate in Singapore since 2021. Dr Karthik feels strongly about medical education and enjoys undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He holds teaching appointments with the Yong Loo Lin (YLL) School of Medicine NUS.
Benjamin Goh
Adj A/Prof Benjamin Goh graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS in 2008. He received a scholarship towards membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. Adj A/Prof Goh completed his Urology Advanced Surgical Training in 2016 and was awarded the Gold medal in the specialist examination.
Adj A/Prof Goh was awarded the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship in 2018 and had spent a year in the United Kingdom for his subspecialty training in Robotic Kidney Surgery and Kidney Transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital, London. His current practice at the National University Hospital includes all areas of general urology with special interest in Kidney Minimally Invasive Surgeries, Endo-urology, Robotic and Kidney Uro-oncology surgery.
Adj A/Prof Goh is the Medical Undergraduate Director of Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He participates actively in undergraduate and postgraduate education, applying different educational pedagogy and rationalises curriculum. He is passionate about educating the next generation of doctors and has won multiple awards for undergraduate medical education.
Adj A/Prof Goh has an interest in translational research, collaborating with Molecular Diagnostic Centre in testing DNA polymorphism in donor-recipient pairs undergoing kidney transplantation. There is also ongoing collaboration with Biomedical Engineering Department for microfluidic enrichment of urine towards improved bladder cancer detection. The team has obtained multiple grants to carry out the translational research.
Uttam Mete
After completing his training in MS (Surgery) and MCh(Urology) both from PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr. Uttam Mete had joined as faculty in the department of urology, in PGI, Chandigarh. He is actively involved in the activities of the Urological Society of India.. He has participated in debate, symposium and delivered lectures during during several conferences and workshops. He is the recipient of many fellowships and awards offered by USI, like G M Phadke travelling Fellowship, Member Travel Fellowship,Teacher Travel Fellowship etc. He has published several papers both in international & national journals. Laparoscopy, endourology, uro-oncology, renal transplantation, reconstructive surgery & urolithiasis are his main areas of interest. New passion for robotic surgery has widened his spectrum of expertise in urology. He has demonstrated live surgeries in many conferences and workshops.
Currently serving as Professor & Head in the prestigious Institute like PGI.
Edmund Chiong
Assoc. Prof. Edmund Chiong, MBBS, PhD, FRCSEd, FRCSI, FAMS (Urology), is presently the Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Urology, National University Hospital, Singapore. He is also an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chairman of the Genitourinary Cancer Programme, National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. Assoc.
Prof. Chiong graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1995. He obtained postgraduate qualifications (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons In Ireland) in Surgery (in 2000) and completed of his Urology specialist training in Singapore. Assoc. Prof. Chiong subsequently underwent a 2-year clinical fellowship program in Urologic Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, USA.
His sub-specialty interest is in Urologic Oncology and performing DaVinci robotic surgery. His research interests include investigating immunotherapy, gene therapy and targeted therapy for bladder cancer, and diagnostic modalities and new therapies for urologic malignancies. He was conferred a PhD (NUS) for his thesis on targeted therapy for bladder cancer. He also runs a number of clinical trials in bladder and prostate cancer. He has minor interests in investigating urinary tract infections, and medical device innovation.
Assoc. Prof. Chiong is Immediate Past Chairman of the Chapter of Urologists and Honorary Secretary of the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, is Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Past President (2016-2018) of the Singapore Urological Association, and Chairman of the Examinations Committee for Urology and Board member, Residency Advisory Committee / Joint Committee on Specialist Training (JCST), Ministry of Health, Singapore. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, European Association of Urology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Urological Association of Asia (UAA).
Tan Yung Khan
Dr Tan Yung Khan is a Senior Consultant of Urology and the Medical Director of Urohealth Medical Clinic. He is an accredited Robotic and Minimally Invasive Endoscopic surgeon at Mt Elizabeth Hospital Singapore. He is past president of the Singapore Urology Association.
Dr Tan completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2000. He went on to train in Urology in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and completed his National Medical Research Council fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas,Texas under the guidance of Dr Margaret Pearle and Dr Jeffrey Cadeddu on minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr Tan then went on to Columbia Medical Centre New York, to complete the Endourology Society Fellowship in minimally invasive stone surgery under Dr Mantu Gupta.
Following his return, Dr Tan was appointed Director of Endourology and Minmally Invasive surgery. He has focused his energy on developing the latest technology to improve patient outcomes in the areas of prostate and kidney disease. He introduced to Singapore, Uronav-targeted biopsies for the prostate in prostate cancer, greenlight lasers for the treatment of enlarged prostates and safer and more effective techniques for the removal of stones. He has also been involved in the teaching of these new techniques at regional and international meetings.
Dr Tan has also pioneered the use of Urolift and Rezum, new minimally invasive treatments for prostate enlargement.
Dr Tan has published over 20 original research articles and has been involved in the development of new robots for minimally invasive stone surgery. He serves on the Urological Association of Asia stone guidelines committee and also serves in a number of other regional and local urology society committees.
Sarvajit Biligere
Dr. Sarvajit Biligere is a distinguished expert in Urology with a subspecialty interest in Endourology, particularly in the management of kidney stone disease, BPH, and minimally invasive surgery for prostate and kidney cancers. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy programme at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), where he also underwent subspecialty training in Anatomic Endoscopic Enucleation of the Prostate (AEEP/HoLEP). Currently, Dr. Sarvajit leads the Laser Enucleation Programme at NTFGH, having performed over 275 HoLEP procedures using advanced laser technologies including Moses and Magneto lasers. He also serves as a proctor and mentor, guiding urologists within the National University Health System (NUHS) and training future consultants and residents.
Dr. Sarvajit graduated from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore in 2007. He completed his Master of Surgery (General Surgery) in 2012 from Coimbatore Medical College and earned his MRCSEd in 2015. He received his formal Urology training at NTFGH and was awarded a Diploma in Urology by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2019. In 2023, he was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd Urology). A dedicated educator, he is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and contributes actively to academic research through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Sarvajit plays a significant role in healthcare informatics. He serves as Department Informatics Director and Optime Lead at NTFGH, and is a Subject Matter Expert in the development of Singapore’s Next Generation Electronic Medical Records (NGEMR).
Gao Yujia
Dr Gao Yujia is a Consultant Surgeon in Liver, Pancreas, and Liver Transplant Surgery at the National University Hospital in Singapore. As the Assistant Group Chief Technology Officer for the National University Health System, Dr Gao is involved in the research and development of immersive technology and its application in clinical care and education, and digital-twin projects. He works extensively with Mixed Reality (MR) technology, utilising MR devices to deliver cutting edge capabilities to clinicians including 3D holographic imaging, real-time computer-vision based imaged analysis, and multisource data integration. He is also responsible for the integration and implementation of 5G wireless technology for hospital infrastructure development and building of secured high-speed integrated data networks. Dr Gao also serves as a board member of the HIMSS APAC Advisory Board.
Lim Yongwei
Dr Yongwei Lim graduated with his MBBS from St George’s, University of London. He completed the 2 year foundation program in the NHS before returning to Singapore. Dr Lim did his Urology residency training from 2012 to 2018 at Singapore General Hospital, and joined Sengkang General Hospital when it opened in August 2018. This is where he currently practices as a consultant surgeon in Urology.
Dr Lim completed a 12 month followship in Endourology at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial College NHS Trust, United Kingdom in 2023. His main interests include: endourology (management of BPH and stone disease) and functional urology. He is passionate about finding safe approaches to manage patients with BPH without interrupting their anticoagulation medication. His surgical interests include BPH surgery for patient while remaining on anticoagulation (HoLEP, bipolar TUEP, Rezum water vapor thermal therapy and the insertion of iTIND device)
Lie Kwok Ying
Dr Lie Kwok Ying is a Senior Consultant Urologist and pioneered the use of HoLEP (Holmium Enucleation of Prostate) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in Singapore.
He graduated from Queens’ College in Cambridge University with triple First Class Honours and subsequently qualified in 2001 with degrees in Medicine and Surgery. He received his surgical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2006 and Masters degree in Medicine (Surgery) in 2007. He received his Urology training in Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is also a member of the Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons, Singapore.
Dr Lie is one of the pioneer Urologists at the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and was pivotal in obtaining one of the first high power laser platform in Singapore, improving stone and BPH care for patients. He was awarded a Ministry of Health Fellowship to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide where he pursued his interest in BPH. Since returning to Singapore, he is the first Urologist to perform HoLEP in Singapore and he is one of the only fellowship trained and locally accredited surgeon to do this procedure. Since starting the HoLEP service, he has done more than 200 HoLEPs, including patients on anticoagulants and very elderly patients. He also set up the use of CO2 laser for use in male circumcision and the Rezum steam therapy as a form of minimally invasive technique for BPH at NTFGH.
Before leaving for private practice, Dr Lie is a Senior Consultant in the Urology Service at NTFGH. Dr Lie is also actively involved in educating the next generation of Urologists and is the site director for the Urology Residency program in NTFGH and supervisor for the Diploma in Urology run by the Chapter of Urologists, College of Surgeons, Singapore. He was the Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Urological Association from 2020 to 2022. He was also appointed visiting consultant status to various public hospitals including Seng Kang General Hospital and National University Hospital to proctor younger urologists in the use of HoLEP.
His dedication to patient care has been recognized by patients and he is the winner of “Service with a Heart Award” in SGH. He has also been awarded the 15 year long service award in public healthcare. He was also actively involved in patient care in public hospitals both during SARS in 2003 and the recent Covid19 pandemic and was part of a whole nation effort combating the Covid19 pandemic outbreak. He was awarded the resilience medal in 2025 as recognition of his contribution to the pandemic effort.
Pradeep Durai
Dr Pradeep Durai, Consultant in the Division of Urology, Department of General Surgery at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), graduated from the Madras Medical College, Chennai, in 2010 and received his surgical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. He completed his Urology Residency in 2019 at the National University Health System (NUHS) in 2019 and was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal for Urology. He received specialist accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Singapore, and a fellowship from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in the same year.
Dr Pradeep also secured the top score in the Urology fellowship examination of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and received his fellowship from RCPSG in 2019. He received a Master of Surgery (Urology) from the University of Edinburgh in 2021.
Dr Pradeep joined the Division of Urology at NTFGH in 2019, where he received speciality training in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). In 2022, he was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship from the Ministry of Health and completed a year of subspecialty fellowship training in managing Kidney Cancers (Upper urinary tract oncology) at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow, United Kingdom. Jeffrey Tuan
Dr. Jeffrey Tuan is the Head and Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist in the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary, Gastrointestinal, and Genitourinary Radiation Oncology in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS). He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in Oncology Academic Program (ACP) of the Duke-NUS medical school. Melissa Tay
Dr Melissa Tay graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She obtained post-graduate qualifications from the Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians (Glasgow) in and completed her urology specialist training in 2018.
Dr Tay has a special interest in chronic transitional and adolescent urology which oversees the care and management of patients with congenital urological issues as they progress to adulthood. She is the first urologist locally and one of the few urologists regionally to be trained in this subspecialty, having completed her fellowship training at the University College Hospital London. Dr Tay also manages general urology conditions with other special interest in female, reconstructive and functional urology, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
Dr Tay is the associate programme director of the Urology residency programme for the National University Health Systems cluster and is also a member of the clinical faculty scheme at the Department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She participates in undergraduate and postgraduate education and is involved in various teaching curriculums for undergraduate medical students, post-graduate training and other healthcare professionals.
Ng Choon Ta
Dr NG Choon Ta is a senior consultant cardiologist at the National Heart Center Singapore, with subspecialty interests in cardio oncology, advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and echocardiography. He believes in applying evidence-based medicine to achieve the best possible outcomes in patients. He is also the digital medicine lead at National Heart Centre Singapore, and strongly believes in leveraging on technology and artificial intelligence to transform current care paradigms.
After completing his medical training at the National University of Singapore (MBBS), Dr Ng subsequently obtained his Masters in Medicine (M Med), and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), United Kingdom. He has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). Dr Ng is one of the pioneering batches of board-certified cardio oncologists by the International Cardio Oncology Society (ICOS). He is passionate about alleviating the global health burden of cardio oncology patients through clinical care, research and educating future generations of doctors. His interactions with the cardio oncologist team at Mayo Clinic also inspired him to end advance the field of cardio oncology in Asia, through collaborative efforts to better cater to the needs of our Asian population. Aside from clinical duties, Dr Ng takes a keen interest in education.
He believes in inspiring and nurturing future generations of physicians and allied healthcare and serves as assistant professor at the Duke NUS Medical School. He is also a clinical tutor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and Alice Lee Centre of Nursing studies. Besides receiving the Singapore Health Quality Service Award, he was awarded the Singhealth Outstanding Faculty Award. Research is an important means to further enhance current treatment paradigms, and to advance medical science. Dr Ng serves an investigator for global clinical trials in heart failure, and has research interests in heart failure, cardio oncology, echocardiography and cardiomyopathy. Apart from serving as a reviewer for local and international journals, he has also contributed to local and regional guidelines to enhance the care of patients.
Chia Jun Yang
Dr Chia Jun Yang graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He has special interests in the fields of Male Subfertility, Male Sexual Medicine, Reconstructive Urology and Benign Prostate Conditions. Dr Chia has since completed his fellowship in Andrology and Prosthetic Urology in Australia. He is an executive committee member of the Singapore Men’s Health Society as well as a member of the Singapore Urological Association.
Lee Lui Shiong
Associate Professor Lee Lui Shiong is Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Urology, Sengkang General Hospital.
His sub-speciality is in the arena of urologic-oncology especially in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for bladder, prostate and kidney cancers. He is a strong advocate for multi-disciplinary care to optimise oncological outcomes. Beyond the clinic, he strongly supports cancer survivorship, preventive health awareness and patient advocacy through the Men;s Health program in SKH.
As a strong proponent and driver of innovative clinical care, he was awarded Superstar Clinician Exemplar in the 2024 Singapore Health Quality Service Awards.
His research collaborations include the GAP3 Global Consortium in Prostate Cancer Active Surveillance and the Asian Robotic Cystectomy Consortium. He is also PI in multiple patient improvement studies and urologic oncology trials.

Law Yan Mee
Dr Law Yan Mee holds the positions of Senior Consultant at the Department of Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke NUS Medical School. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr Law is a highly respected radiologist who has earned a strong professional reputation in Singapore and international medical communities in the field of abdominal imaging, particularly in genitourinary radiology. In recognition of her expertise and commitments, Dr Law is a recipient of Superstar Exemplar Clinician Award at SHQSA (Singapore Health Quality Service Award) 2025.
Upon receiving her postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Radiologists in 2005, she underwent advanced radiology training in the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Dual fellowship trained in genitourinary radiology and advanced prostate cancer MRI; Dr Law is the clinical lead for genitourinary radiology in Singapore General Hospital where she spearheaded the remarkable growth of SGH genitourinary imaging over many years. She is actively engaged in prostate gland imaging and artificial intelligence research, through close collaborations with her urology counterparts and collaborators in National Institutes of Health, USA. She co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 2 book chapters with leading world experts in the field.
Dr Law has been chosen as a key member of a global panel of radiologists participating in ground-breaking projects to validate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) deep learning for MRI prostate imaging. This initiative holds the potential to significantly enhance the quality of early prostate cancer diagnosis based on MRI.
Deok Hyun Han
Deok Hyun Han, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Urology at Samsung Medical Center, which has about 2,000 beds and is located in Seoul, South Korea. He earned his Medical Degree at the Seoul National University and completed an internship at the Seoul National University Hospital. Then he moved to Samsung Medical Center to complete his urological residency and was certified by the Korean Board of Urology. During his fellowship at the Samsung Medical Center, he focused on advanced endourology and minimally invasive surgery.
He has expertise in the treatment of urolithiasis using flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous kidney surgery with his own primary access technique. He performs endoscope-combined retrograde intrarenal surgery in the prone position. Currently, he focuses on robotic platforms for RIRS and is building his clinical case experience. He has extensive experience performing various laparoscopic procedures, including conventional, hand-assisted, single-port, and robot-assisted techniques. His practice now primarily involves robot-assisted surgeries for upper urinary tract reconstruction utilizing diverse and advanced surgical methods including buccal mucosa graft and ileal ureter replacement. He performed many live surgical demonstrations at many global and regional academic meetings. And, he is highly motivated to develop and apply novel devices and techniques in endoscopic surgery and/or intervention.
He is the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Leader of the Data Service Team at the Office of Digital Transformation in Samsung Medical Center. He has extensively researched the development of AI platforms and has been dedicated to integrating AI with hospital systems to improve diagnostics and treatment.

Peter Chiu
Dr. Peter Chiu graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and obtained the fellowship in Urology from the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He received post-graduate training on Prostate Cancer research and Andrology in the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and obtained a PhD degree on Prostate Cancer diagnosis. He is currently the Associate Professor in the Urology division in CUHK.
His clinical practice and research focus on Prostate cancer, from prostate cancer screening, diagnosis with novel biomarkers (prostate health index, urine spermine), MRI-guided targeted prostate biopsy, to focal therapy. He currently utilizes HIFU, Cryotherapy and Targeted microwave ablation (TMA) as focal therapy for prostate cancer. Ziting Wang
Dr Wang is the Director of Urologic Oncology services at the National University Hospital. Her main areas of practice are urology diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery and cancer survivorship.
Upon successful completion of her urology training, she was appointed as Uro-oncology Surgical Fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London from 2022 to 2024. The Royal Marsden is Europe’s largest comprehensive cancer centre. It is rated as one of the top three cancer centres in the world. At the Royal Marsden, Dr Wang trained in complex open, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries including radical nephrectomy, cystectomy, prostatectomy and pelvic exenteration.
Dr Wang’s clinical and research interests are in cancer survivorship. She has won several grants for her research work, including the NUHS Junior Pitch for fund, ExxonMobil-NUS Research Fellowship for Clinicians and National University Seed Grant. For her work, she was awarded the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award in 2019.
Karl Marvin Tan
Dr. Karl Marvin M. Tan is a leading Filipino Endourologist renowned for his contributions to the advancement of minimally invasive urologic surgery in Asia. He currently serves as Consultant Urologist and Training Officer of the Department of Urology at Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), where he leads the institution’s endourology program. His clinical focus includes flexible ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy, supine PCNL, and Anatomic Endoscopic Enucleation of the Prostate (AEEP) using both holmium and thulium fiber lasers.
He is engaged in ex-vivo and clinical research on stone retropulsion, intrarenal pressure management, and laser optimization, particularly in the context of the FANS system (Flexible and Navigable Sheath with suction).
He is part of Asian Urological School for Endourology and Technology (AUSET), that curates region-wide masterclasses and simulation-based training to empower urologists across Southeast Asia. His workshops integrate live surgical mentoring, advanced device applications, and digital innovations in endourology.

Cui Hai Hua
Haihua started her nursing journey to work in Intensive Care Unit of Changi General Hospital in 2007. She has a keen interest in prevention of Device Associated Infection, particularly in Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI). During her tenure as the Hospital CAUTI Prevention Taskforce leader from 2007 to 2022, Haihua spearheaded numerous transformative initiatives. These included implementing electronic checklist for early catheter removal, developing buddy system for catheterisation, establishing catheter care bundles, and advocating for intermittent catheterisation practices.
Haihua was appointed in 2022 as Co-Lead for the Patient Education Subgroup within the SingHealth Cross Institution CAUTI Prevention Workgroup. Her role, being part of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute for Patient Safety & Quality (IPSQ) Ground Up, Reach Out to Scale (GURUS) initiative, focuses on harmonising CAUTI management across clinical services, research, and education. Her recent accomplishments include developing educational materials for CAUTI prevention, which is accessible to the public through the SingHealth Health Buddy platform.
Daniel Yong
Dr. Daniel Yong is the current Head of Department of Urology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is a consultant with clinical interest in Uro-Oncology, Robotic and Minimally-invasive surgery. He has completed various fellowships at Duke University Hospital (U.S.A), Okayama University Hospital (Japan) and Universitatsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf / Martini-Klinik (Germany). He is an appointed proctor for robot-assisted surgery and an advocate for nerve sparing surgery for improved functional outcomes of radical prostatectomy.
He is also the inaugural recipient of the Center for Healthcare Innovation Fellowship and is a keen innovator. His current project is looking at integrating AI in the prostate biopsy process.
Sivakami Muthuveerappa
Ms Muthuveerappa has 20 over years of experience in healthcare industry. Specializing in stoma and wound specialty in TTSH,she has acquired a wealth of knowledge and skills in stoma and wound care practices. As a passionate advocate for wound care, she plays a crucial role in improving the lives of patients with stoma and complex wounds by implementing evidence-based practices. She is committed to continuous learning and professional development to provide the highest level of care to patients.
Muthuveerappa was the Lead for ‘Wound Healing Lead’ certification program for TTSH nurses (2023). The program aimed to train healthcare staffs to identify pressure injuries, apply latest evidence-based management strategies and treatments and implement best practices for pressure injury prevention (PU care bundle) promptly and accurately.
Yam Wai Loon
Dr Yam is a Senior Consultant at Changi General Hospital, Singapore. He has special interests in metastatic prostate cancer, prostate cancer and urothelial cancer. He has organised, as well as has been invited as speakers at, various local-regional workshops, courses and conferences for fellow urologists and residents.
Kelven Chen
Dr Kelven Chen is a Consultant Urologist at the National University Health System (NUHS) in Singapore, with a subspecialty focus in Endourology. He completed his urology residency at NUHS, where he also served as Chief Resident, and holds fellowships from both The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and the University of Montreal Health Centre.
Dr Chen earned his MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2010. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2012, and was awarded the MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship in 2016 to pursue a Master of Clinical Investigation. He subsequently obtained a Master of Medicine (General Surgery) in 2018 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Urology) in 2020.

Yong Jin
Dr Yong Jin graduated from the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2012. He obtained his post-graduate degrees – MRCS and subsequently Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2013 and 2018 respectively. He underwent specialist Urology training at Singapore General Hospital and graduated as the top candidate in his exit examination. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Tiong Ho Yee
Dr. Tiong Ho Yee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). He serves as a Senior Consultant in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, as well as in the Division of Urology under the University Surgical Cluster at the National University Hospital (NUH). Dr. Tiong is the Surgical Director for Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at NUCOT (NUH) and holds key leadership roles as Associate Chairman Medical Board (Medical Affairs) at NUH and Director of the Urology Residency Program within the National University Health System (NUHS).
Regionally and internationally, Dr. Tiong contributes to urology education and development as Deputy Director of the Asian School of Urology and Deputy Chairman of the Future Planning Committee under the Urological Association of Asia. He also serves as Secretary of the Asian Urological Surgery Training and Education Group and as the Global Affairs Country Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Thien Siew Yee
Dr Thien Siew Yee graduated with MbChB from University of Glasgow in 2008 and obtained MRCP (UK) in 2013. She is an infectious diseases consultant at Singapore General Hospital. Her area of interests are diagnostic stewardship, antimicrobial stewardship, outpatient antibiotic therapy (OPAT), and patient safety.
Thiruchelvam Jegathesan
Assistant Professor Thiruchelvam Jegathesan has been a Consultant in the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) since 2018.
He has special interests in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and endourology. He completed his fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, United Kingdom, under the mentorship of Dr Tevita Aho, focusing on advanced BPH treatment.
Since returning from fellowship in 2023, Asst Prof Jegathesan has established the prostate enucleation service at TTSH. He has performed over 100 cases of laser enucleation of the prostate using Moses and Magneto Holmium lasers, as well as the Thulio laser. He also routinely performs GreenLight photoselective vaporisation of the prostate, enabling true day-surgery procedures for appropriate patients.
In addition, he leads the hospital’s minimally invasive surgical therapy (MIST) services for BPH, including Rezum, UroLift, and iTind. He is the lead for the BPH clinical pathway programme at TTSH and served as Chairman of the Urology Clinic Management Committee from 2018 to 2025. He was also appointed to the Ministry of Health’s BPH Clinician Workgroup for the Value-Driven Care initiative and currently serves on TTSH’s Medical Devices and Implants Oversight Committee.
Asst Prof Jegathesan is actively involved in medical education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is an Assistant Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) and serves as Principal Lead for Urology, contributing to curriculum development and examination design for LKC Medicine students. He has won teaching awards in 2017 and 2023 for his contribution to the education of LKC students.
Chester Choo
Dr. Chester Choo is a Consultant in the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2011. In 2020, he obtained a Master of Surgery (ChM) in Urology with merit from the University of Edinburgh. He successfully completed his Urology Residency training in 2021 and attained his Specialist Accreditation in the same year. Additionally, he is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Recently, he completed a one-year Pelvic Oncology Clinical Fellowship at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. His areas of interest within urology include uro-oncology and minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery for urological conditions.
Kenneth Chen
Dr Kenneth Chen is a consultant Uro-oncologist with Singapore General Hospital. He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore and has since obtained membership and fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh and Glasgow) and holds a Masters of Clinical Investigation (NUS). He has special interests in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery and Genitourinary Oncology, having completed a fellowship at Sir Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne Australia, and chairs the robotic surgery committee at Singapore General Hospital. His academic interests include prostate cancer diagnostics, advanced prostate cancer management, and novel device development. He teaches at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School as an associate professor and is a senior clinical lecturer with the National University of Singapore YLL School of Medicine
Omer Karim
Dr Omer is a consultant urological surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He has been involved in robotic assisted surgery since 2004 and is fortunate to have used every version of the multiport da Vinci robot prior to the advent of da Vinci 5.
Following his FRCS he did research at the Brady Institute of Urology, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions for his MSc. He was a Senior Registrar at the Royal London Hospital and subsequently was appointed a Consultant Urologist in 1995 to East Berkshire. He developed an expertise in nerve sparing radical prostatectomy and renal surgery. He converted to robotic assisted surgery in 2004. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and performed over 3,500 robotic assisted operations.
He has been a proctor in robotic assisted surgery for Intuitive Surgical since 2008 and regularly teaches surgeons in the UK and Europe. He has also taught in South Africa, Kuwait, India and Turkey. In 2021, he was elected to Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Medical Association.
Vineet Gauhar
After his Masters in Urology with honors, training In India at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Dr Gauhar served as an associate professor and senior consultant both at the university and private multinational corporate hospitals until 2008. Subsequently completed a dual Fellowship and Diploma in MIS Urology at the National University Hospital in Singapore from the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr Gauhar joined as a founder member of the department of urology at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NUHS) and is currently working here. Dr Gauhar’s field of expertise is MIS in calculus disease, MIST for prostate and MIS in renal cancer and kidney diseases. Well, acclaimed regionally and internationally for training of national and international residents and fellows Dr Gauhar’s department is a premier tertiary institute for MIS in stone and prostate surgery. Dr Gauhar’s areas of focus also include Urogenital infections, male urethral disease, and Artificial Intelligence applications. As a principal investigator Dr Gauhar has pioneered 25 “Real world multicenter studies” with more than 200 peer review publications and serves as editorial board member for many tier 1 journal.
Dr Gauhar’s significant contributions have helped create the first of its kind global registries for Flexible ureteroscopy (FLEXOR, FANS) and enucleation of prostate (REAP, PEEL, EAP).
Dr Gauhar’s current focus is on developing suction technologies and has coined the procedures namely “Direct in scope suction (DISS) technique” and “Flexible and navigable Suction access sheath (FANS)” for endourological management of urolithiasis. Dr Gauhar is actively involved in organizing and chairing numerous clinical meetings and training forums for residents, nurses, and consultants locally and overseas. Dr Gauhar has organized more than 400 online meetings and chaired more than 250 symposia in national and international meetings.
Alvin Lee
Dr. Alvin Lee is an Associate Consultant Urologist at the Department of Urology, Singapore General Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), as well as the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) (Urology). Dr. Lee’s subspecialty clinical interests are in uro-oncology and minimally-invasive surgery.
Frédéric Panthier
Frederic PANTHIER (MD-PhD) is an academic urologist, working at Tenon Hospital-Sorbonne University in the Urology department chaired by Prof. Olivier TRAXER. His expertise focuses on upper urinary tract endourology (stone, conservative treatment of UTUC and ureteral strictures) and kidney surgery (uro-oncology and benign). His research explores laser and artificial intelligence applications in endourology and takes place at PIMM lab (Arts et Metiers Paris Tech).
Melissa Caruso
Mel is a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse at Eastern Health in Melbourne Victoria and works for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) as clinical lead of the nursing program. Her work involves coordinating care of men living with prostate cancer, providing support to men and their families at diagnosis, during treatment and beyond. Mel is the current Australian and New Zealand Urological Nurses Society (ANZUNS) president.

Dr Benjamin Lim is current a Consultant in the Urology Department, Sengkang General Hospital. He obtained intercollegiate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS, Ireland) in 2017 and Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 2022. He has completed 6-year residency in Urology with SingHealth and joined the Academy of Medicine, Singapore as a Fellow in 2022.

Thomas Chan
Dr. Thomas Chan, a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a special interest in Uro-oncology, Immuno-oncology, Minimally-invasive & Robotic surgery. He started his early career in pharmacy and immunology, earned his Bachelors’ Masters’, Medical, and Doctoral degrees from King’s College London, University College Dublin, and University of Oxford, respectively. He completed his urology training in Singapore in 2020 and attained his FAMS (Urol). He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School & Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine NUS, and Clinical block & Posting Lead (SKH Urology) & Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. He is an active educator and was the faculty member and Organising Chairman of a variety of courses and workshops held in Singapore. He is a member of the Singapore, Asian, American and European Urological Associations, he has received multiple research awards, including the NRF-MOH PhD Scholarships and top honours at previous Urofair.
Tan Yi Quan
Dr Tan Yi Quan is a Urologist at both Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and National University Hospital. Dr Tan’s subspeciality interests are in Minimally Invasive Stone Surgery, Complex Urinary Stone Disease, and Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatment for BPH.
Dr Tan trained as an Endourology Fellow at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 2024 under Professor Zeng Guohua. Dr Tan was awarded the 2025 Japanese Urological Association (JUA) Asian Scholarship to train at Tokai University Hospital in Tokyo, Japan under Professor Sunao Shoji.

Hery Yanto
Mr Hery Yanto serves as an Assistant Nurse Clinician at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), specialising in men’s health within the Specialty Nursing Department’s Urology Men’s Health Clinic.
After obtaining his Diploma in Nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2005, Hery furthered his education with an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Medical-Surgical) from the same institution in 2008. In 2011, he was awarded the Courage Fund Scholarship to pursue his Bachelor of Nursing degree at La Trobe University, Australia.
With special interest in the field of andrology, Hery’s primary focus is providing comprehensive care at the Men’s Health Clinic, where he specialises in erectile dysfunction treatment. His responsibilities include conducting thorough pre- and post-operative assessments, patient education, exploring suitable treatment options and penile rehabilitation programme for post radical prostatectomy patient.
In collaboration with the Director of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) Services at SGH’s Urology Department, Hery helped establish a specialised Trial Off Catheter (TOC) clinic for post-prostate surgery/procedure patients. This innovative clinic has streamlined the care transition process, significantly reducing patient waiting times and clinic visits.
Tan Teck Wei
Dr Tan Teck Wei is a urologist in Singapore who specialises in the management of complex urological cancers. He was fellowship-trained at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals in the United Kingdom in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He also specialises in the management of other urological conditions including stones, prostate enlargement, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
To date, Dr Tan Teck Wei has been involved in more than 500 robot-assisted surgeries, building up his volume of cases from his fellowship training days and cementing his expertise in robotic surgery.
Karen Chng
Karen is a Senior Nurse Clinician with the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. With a strong focus on geriatric care, she plays a key role in managing urinary incontinence and supporting patients through counselling.
Karen began her nursing career in 1995 after earning her diploma in Nursing from Nanyang Polytechnic. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Sydney, an Advanced Diploma in Gerontology and a Mater’s in Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. In 2012, she received a Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) for training in pelvic floor dysfunction in the UK.
Passionate about education, Karen teaches advanced diploma students as a guest lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic and is actively involved in training nurses in the community on continence care. She was awarded the NHG Inter-professional Teaching Award in 2018 for her contributions to teaching and collaboration. Karen also shares her expertise at local and international conferences, offering insights on continence -related topics.
Chin Chong Min
Dr Chin Chong Min is a Consultant Urologist of 31 years based at Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and Visiting Consultant at National University Hospital, Raffles Hospital and Changi General Hospital.
His urology training included a year at Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) in the United Kingdom (1996-1997), and a residency program in robotic urology at the University of California, Irvine (2005) in USA.
Dr Chin has 20 years of experience in robotic urology and is a designated proctor for robotic surgery. He has delivered many lectures on robotics in urology and demonstrated his technique on robotic prostatectomy overseas.
As a member of the Singapore Urological Association, he held the positions of Vice-President (2007-2008), Honorary Treasurer (2003-2004), Chairman of the Incontinence Subcommittee (2001-2008) and Research Subcommittee (2004-2006).
Seok-Joong Yun
Dr Seok Joong Yun, M.D., Ph.D. is a distinguished urologist and professor at the College of Medicine, Chungbuk National University in Cheongju, South Korea. He earned his Doctor of Medicine, Master of Science in Medicine, and Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from Chungbuk National University.
Dr. Yun completed his internship and residency in urology at Chungbuk National University Hospital before becoming board-certified by the Korean Urological Association. Following his military service, he held leadership roles in urology departments at Cheongju St. Mary’s Hospital and Cheongju Medical Center.
He joined Chungbuk National University’s faculty as an Assistant Professor and later became a full Professor. He also served as a visiting professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Dr. Yun has contributed significantly to urologic research, particularly in prostate and bladder cancer, and has held leadership positions in various medical societies, including the Korean Urological Oncology Society and the Korean Urological Research Society.
An active researcher and editor, he has been involved with journals such as Korean Journal of Urology, IC Urology, and Oncology Letters. His dedication to precision medicine and cancer research continues to shape advancements in urology both in Korea and internationally.
Raj Tiwari
Dr Raj Tiwari is a Consultant Urologist and Director of Uro-Oncology at Sengkang General Hospital and Visiting Consultant at National Cancer Center Singapore. He is an assistant professor at Duke-Nus Graduate Medical School. He received his MBBS at the National University of Singapore and completed urology residency at Singapore General Hospital where he was awarded the College of Surgeons Singapore Gold medal in Urology. He then was awarded the FRCS Glasgow Urology diploma. Thereafter he completed a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada from 2021 to 2023. He currently manages both general urology and urologic oncology patients performing open, laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
Outside clinical work he actively teaches residents and medical students and also does research in urological cancers with over 50 peer reviewed publications, grants and textbook chapters. He is also an active member of the Singapore Urological Association having been organizing chairperson of several recent regional academic meetings including the recent Singhealth Uro-Oncology Preceptorship and the Urology Residents Course Singapore.
Jinsung Park
Dr Jinsung Park, M.D., Ph.D. is a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at Uijeongbu Eulji Medical Center, Eulji University. He also serves as Director of the Robotic Surgery Center and Chief of the Prostate Cancer Center. A leading urooncological surgeon, Dr. Park specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for prostate and kidney cancer, with a strong focus on improving patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Park has led numerous clinical trials funded by pharmaceutical companies and translational research supported by the Korean government. He has held key leadership positions, including Secretary General of the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics (KSER) and Director of the Robotic Urology Section (KORUS). Jong Soo Lee
Dr. Jongsoo Lee is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Severance Hospital, Seoul, Korea. After obtaining his MD from Pusan National University in 2013, he completed his residency and clinical fellowship in urology at Severance Hospital. His clinical and research activities focus on prostate and kidney cancer, robotic surgery, and the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical urology. Ho Seok Chung
Dr Ho Seok Chung, M.D., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at Chonnam National University Hospital and Chonnam National University Medical School in Gwangju, Korea.

Seok Hwan Bang
Dr Seokhwan Bang, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. He is an active leader in the urological field, serving as a member of the Ethics Committee of the Korean Urological Association and the Scientific and Advanced Medicine Committees of the Korean Urological Oncology Society. Olivier Traxer
Dr Olivier TRAXER is Professor of Urology and Chairman Urology department Sorbonne University Tenon hospital (Paris-France). The Tenon Urology department Sorbonne University is certified by the EndoUrological Society for 1&2 years Fellowship program and EBU host center certified for Stone/EndoUrology, BPH, Incontinence and Neuro-Urology. Professor Traxer is also the director of the GRC#20 (Clinical Research Group #20) at Sorbonne University. He did a research-fellowship at Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas-Dallas-USA (Charles Y.C PAK & Margaret Sue PEARLE) to subspecialize in Endourology and kidney stone management.
As endo-urologist, his main goal is to improve the knowledge on urinary stone disease and endourology. Dr Traxer published more than 570 per-reviewed papers.
Dr Traxer is a board member of: the EndoUrological Society, the French Association of Urology (AFU) and EAU board member of the EULIS and ESUT. He is an active member of AAGUS & AAEU. He was also the treasurer of SIU. He received in 2010 (Chicago-WCE) the Arthur Smith Award and the Ralph Clayman Mentor Award in 2020. In 2022 he received the St Paul Medal at BAUS annual meeting. He was also the president of the World Congress of EndoUrology in Paris 2018 (WCE2018) and became a member of the French Academy of Surgery in 2022. In 2023 he became Honorary Member of the UAA in Dubai. In 2024 he was nominated as new Chair of EAU-Endourology (ESEUT: European Section of EndoUrology and Technology) for EAU.
Kim Tae Hyo
Dr Tae Hyo Kim, MD, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Urology at Dong-A University Medical Center in Busan, Korea. He earned his MD, MS, and PhD from Dong-A University and completed his residency and fellowship in urology at the same institution. Dr. Kim further expanded his expertise through a visiting scholarship at the University of North Carolina, USA.
Dr. Kim plays an active role in the academic and research community, serving as Chairman of the Korean Urology Surgical Research Society and the Hormone Research Society in the Korean Society for Sexual Medicine and Andrology. He is also the Vice Chairman of both the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics and the International Committee of the Hannam Urological Association, as well as an Executive Director of the Korean Incontinence Society.

Kim Bum Soo
Dr Bum Soo Kim, MD, PhD is a Professor in the Department of Urology at the School of Medicine, Kyungpook National University. He completed his internship and residency at Kyungpook National University Hospital (2004–2009) and gained international experience through a medical observership in Endourology at the Cleveland Clinic, USA (2013), as well as a visiting scholarship in Kidney Regeneration at Jikei University School of Medicine, Japan (2016–2017).
Dr. Kim actively contributes to the urological community through various leadership roles. He serves on the editorial board of Investigative and Clinical Urology and holds board positions within the Korean Urological Association (KUA) in both the academic and international relations committees. Additionally, he is the Chief Director of International Relations at the Korean Society of Endourology and Robotics (KSER) and the Director of International Relations at the Hannam Urological Association (HUA).

Frédéric Panthier
Dr Esteban Emiliani earned his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He completed his residency training at Fundacio Puigvert (Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain) obtaining his Fellow of the European Board of Urology. He performed a fellowship in endourology, certified by the Endourological Society at Tenon Hospital (Sorbonne University in Paris, France), alongside Pr Olivier Traxer and at the MPUH hospital (Nadiad, India) with Pr. Mahesh Desai, obtaining later his PhD (International PhD, Cum Laude) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain – Sorbonne University, Paris, France, on laser developments for urolithiasis.
He served as a consultant urologist (urolithiasis and endourology unit) at Fundación Puigvert and clinical associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain for 10 years. He is currently the Chief of Endourology at NYU Langone – Brooklyn in New York USA. Esteban Emiliani
Dr Esteban Emiliani earned his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Mahesh Desai, obtaining later his PhD (International PhD, Cum Laude) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain – Sorbonne University, Paris, France, on laser developments for urolithiasis.
He served as a consultant urologist (urolithiasis and endourology unit) at Fundación Puigvert and clinical associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain for 10 years. He is currently the Chief of Endourology at NYU Langone – Brooklyn in New York USA. His academic appointments include: Endourological Society board member and former chair of the Young Urologists group, Social Media Committee member and Endourological Society delegate (Spain). EAU Uro-technology section (ESUT) board member and ESUT endourology group member. EAU Scientific Congress Office member. YAU Endourology group member and European Board of Urology (EBU) Committee member. IAU guidelines committee member. He is an editorial board member for the World Journal of Urology, Actas Urológicas Españolas and BMC Urology.
He has published 130+ publications in indexed peer-review journals, 12 Publications in non-indexed journals and 4 Book chapters. Dr Emiliani was awarded the Arthur Smith Award in 2024 from the Endourological Society and is continuously invited to national and international meetings as moderator, lecturer and surgeon for live surgery including the EAU, AUA and mayor urological courses.
Steffi Yuen
Dr. Steffi Yuen graduated from the The University of Hong Kong. Since joining the urology faculty team at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and New Territories East Cluster, Dr Yuen’s main area of interest encompasses endourology and minimally invasive surgery.
Her vast exposure gives her first-hand experience in the latest technologies, upcoming trends
and skills in endoluminal endourology. She is excited to bring about this new era of endourology – the innovations of flexible ureteroscopes, next generation of flexible and navigable ureteral access sheaths (FANS), direct in scope suction (DISS) and laser technology, intrarenal pressure (IRP) and intrarenal temperature (IRT) monitoring flexible ureteroscopes and intelligent pressure regulating platforms, as well as the emerging robotic RIRS and PCNL platforms.
Dr Yuen has helped built and pioneered the LUTS/BPE pathway in her hospital cluster, bringing together the whole spectrum of MIST – from Rezum, Urolift, iTIND, Aquablation to enucleation of prostates to LUTS/BPE patients. She is also a certified trainer for Rezum, Urolift and Asia’s first certified trainer for iTIND.
Steffi is involved with urology education, serving as EAU endourology associate member, IAU vice-chairperson of youth committee, AUSTEG core committee member, SIU Innovator and AUSET associate member. She has brought about international exchange and collaborations as a Japanese Urological Association (JUA) scholar and has also completed the International Fellowship in Robotics and Stone surgery at Seoul National University Hospital’s Specialized Endoluminal Endourology & Stone Center. She is an associate member of the core working group of Research & Publications under the EAU section of Endourology.
Jia-Lun Kwok
Dr Jia-Lun Kwok is a Consultant and Endourology Service Lead with the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He completed advanced training with a one-year Endourology Fellowship at University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. He has also visited many Endourology centers of excellence worldwide. Dr Kwok’s areas of interest are endourology, stone disease, benign prostate conditions, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Kwok is a keen researcher in the field of Endourology, with international collaborations. He is a member of the Progressive Endourological Association for Research and Leading Solutions (PEARLS), Paris, France. He is also an associate member of the Section of EAU Endourology, and the Asian Urological Society of Endoluminal Surgery & Technology (AUSET).
Leading the department Endourology service, Dr Kwok has experience in all aspects of endourological stone disease, including flexible ureteroscopy, suction applications and FANS, across different laser technologies. He has expertise in Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), including Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery (ECIRS) and Simultaneous Bilateral Endoscopic Surgery (SBES), with emphasis on short-stay surgery.
Dr Kwok is the Program Director of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Urology Residency Program. He holds teaching appointments with National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
Theng Hoi
Dr. Theng Hoy is a consultant urologist at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He previously served as a consultant urologist at Siem Reap Provincial Hospital. Dr. Theng holds a DFMS in Urology Surgery from Normandy University, France, along with specialized training in microsurgery and endo-urological procedures. His main interests lie in endourology and minimally invasive urological surgery.
Alba Sierra
Alba Sierra del Río is a doctor specializing in endourology. She completed her urology residency at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and pursued a year-fellowship in endourology at Hôpital Tenon in Paris. She is currently working as a Junior Assistant at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona. Additionally, she is a member of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), PEARLS group and EAU Section of Endourology (Stone Surgical).
Bhaskar Somani
Bhaskar Somani is a Professor of Urology and a Consultant Endourologist at University Hospital Southampton – MRCS, DM, FEBU, FFSTEd, FRCS (Urol)
Professor Bhaskar Somani is the Clinical Director of ‘South Coast Lithotripter Services’ and a professor of urology at University Hospital Southampton in United Kingdom.
Over the last 15 years his clinical and research work has been covered by BBC, ITV, Daily Mail, The Telegraph and other newspapers and media articles on a number of occasions.
He coordinates the largest hands-on-training simulation course for urology in the world (EAU-EUREP) and is a board member of EAU section of Endourology and European School of Urology (ESU), besides leading the research for both these groups. He is a member of EAU guideline panel for urolithiasis, EAU podcast lead, and on the EAU live surgery and undergraduate urology committees.
He has published over 750 scientific papers, 700 abstracts, and has been invited as a speaker, to perform live surgery, teaching and for moderations in more than 35 countries worldwide. He has raised a grant income of £6 million.
For his work, he has received the ‘Zenith Global Health Award’ Surgical specialties special recognition (2021), ‘Golden Cystoscope’ award by British Association of Urological Surgeons (2021), and ‘Arthur Smith Endourology award’ by Endourological Society (2020).
Tan Guan Hee
Dr. Tan is a Consultant Urologist and Head of Urology at Sunway Medical Centre. He is also a Clinical Professor at the School of Medical and Life Science, Sunway University. Upon completion of urology training in Malaysia, he first enjoyed a fellowship stint at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. He subsequently gained further experience in uro-oncology at the University of Toronto under the Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship program. Dr. Tan now regularly performs robot-assisted surgery for prostate and kidney cancers. He has a special interest in surgical technology and focuses his research on early detection of prostate cancer.
Daniel Eun
Dr. Eun was born in South Korea and immigrated to the US during grade school. He received B.S in Biology at Pennsylvania State University and then received his M.D. at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He then completed his urology residency and 18-month minimally invasive urologic robotic oncology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital’s Vattikuti Urology Institute in Detroit, which at that time, was the first established robotic surgery training fellowship in the world. In 2008, he took his first appointment at the University of Pennsylvania and in 2012, Dr. Eun was recruited to his alma mater, Temple University, in Philadelphia.
Dr. Eun currently runs a regional and national high-volume referral practice for robotic treatment of genitourinary oncology as well as complex reconstructive surgery of the kidney, ureter, prostate and bladder. He currently has one of the busiest complex robotic re-operative and reconstructive practices in the world. He has performed approximately 5000 robotic procedures and more than 50 different types of robotic procedures. Dr. Eun is regarded as a thought leader in advanced robotic surgery techniques, robotic procedure innovation and advanced level robotic surgical training. He is widely considered one of the founders of the field of robotic reconstructive surgery.
Since 2008, Dr. Eun has offered fellowship training and currently offers a one-year fellowship in advanced robotic urologic oncology and reconstructive surgery at Temple University Hospital through the Endourologic Society. He has published 150 peer-reviewed journal articles or book chapters and presented nearly 300 research abstracts globally. Dr. Eun has taught numerous robotics masters-level classes, resident/fellow courses in robotics and lectured in over a dozen countries and for numerous international societies and training programs. He has performed over 50 live robotic surgery demonstrations at various international university medical centers and at large conference venues such as the American Urologic Association and North American Robotic Urologic Symposium. In 2015, Dr. Eun was appointed as an honorary Professor of Urology at Nanchang University in the People’s Republic of China for his numerous teaching contributions. In 2023, he received a medal of commendation from the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Minister of Health for contributions to help improve the national health system. He has recently edited the first text book on robotic reconstructive surgery as one of the founders of this newly burgeoning sub-specialty of urology.
As director of Temple’s Advanced Robotic Urologic Surgery Fellowship Training Program and Chief of Robotic Surgical Services, Dr. Eun is an active member of the teaching faculty of Temple University School of Medicine, working closely with medical students, residents and fellows.
Christopher Wallis
Christopher J.D. Wallis is a Urologic Oncologist at the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital/University Health Network. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of British Columbia and his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Epidemiology & Health Care Research from the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He completed his clinical residency in Urology at the University of Toronto and his Society of Urologic Oncology accredited fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
To date, he has more than 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), The Lancet, The BMJ, Lancet Oncology, JAMA Oncology, and many others. He is currently an Editorial Board member for European Urology, The Journal of Urology, and PloSOne. His research focuses on leveraging epidemiologic techniques to understand outcomes and care pathways for patients with cancer and those undergoing surgery.
Thitipat Hansomwong
Dr. Thitipat Hansomwong is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in Bangkok, Thailand. His clinical and research interests primarily focus on kidney transplantation, robotic surgery, and minimally invasive reconstructive surgery. Dr. Hansomwong has gained extensive experience in kidney transplantation, including both deceased and living donor transplants, while also exploring the benefits of robotic-assisted surgery in urological procedures.
As a passionate advocate for advancing surgical techniques, Dr. Hansomwong is particularly focused on improving patient outcomes through minimally invasive methods. He has contributed to numerous academic publications and actively mentors residents and fellows, fostering the next generation of urologists in Thailand.
Kuncoro Adi
Kuncoro Adi is a consultant of trauma and reconstructive urology in AMC Hasan Sadikin Hospital-Padjadjaran University, Bandung, Indonesia. After finishing urology in Indonesia University, Jakarta in 2007, he become an urologist in Bandung. He did some clinical observer-ship in urethral reconstructive surgery in high volume center in Kulkarni Institute in Pune India and in University College London Hospital-NHS, United.
In 2014 he got subspecialty qualification of trauma and reconstructive urology by Indonesian Board of Urology. He is one of the founding Boards members and the previous president of InaGURS (Indonesia Genitourinary Reconstructive Urology Section) 2015-2023, a group under IUA (Indonesian Urological Association) that focused on the evidence base development of reconstructive urology, especially in urethral reconstructive field. He is also board member of Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS) since 2023. Current position is Fellowship Program Director of Trauma and Reconstructive Urology in Hasan Sadikin Hopital, Bandung and Indonesia secretary general of Indonesian Urological Association.
Chu Ann Chai
Dr. Chai Chu Ann is a consultant urologist specialising in Endourology and Andrology, currently practicing at University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. His professional journey includes completing an Andrology Fellowship program in Edinburgh, Scotland, after obtaining his Master of Surgery qualification in 2018, followed by his FRCS urology training in 2022.
Dr Chai has pioneered and established the combined Uro-Gynae Male Infertility service and microTESE surgery at University Malaya. with numerous publications in well-regarded international journals, he was awarded the 2024 IAU Distinguished Young Urologist Award and is currently serving as the Co-Vice-Chairman of the IAU Youth Committee.
Rajeev TP
Dr. Rajeev T. P. is the Director and Chief Consultant Urologist at Medicity, Guwahati, Assam, India, and the Hon. Secretary of the Urological Society of India. He is an expert in Laser Urology, Laparoscopic Urology, Endo-Urology, and Onco-Urology.
Dr. Rajeev was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for M.Ch. Urology from AIIMS, New Delhi, and has received multiple recognitions, including the Best Paper Awards from both the Urological Society of India (USI) and the East Zone Chapter of USI. He also won the Quiz Prize at the USI East Zone Chapter.
He has been awarded the Travel Fellowship by both the Urological Society of India and the East Zone Chapter. Additionally, Dr. Rajeev has contributed to academia as a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA.

Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy is a renowned reproductive urologist specializing in male fertility, sexual dysfunction, and microsurgery. With extensive training and experience in the United States, he has made significant contributions to the field through clinical practice, research, and education. Currently based in Dubai at First IVF and Jumeirah American Clinic, he is dedicated to advancing male reproductive health in the region.
Dr. Ramasamy is involved in clinical trials and cutting-edge research, including AI-driven sperm selection, regenerative medicine with PRP, and optimizing microTESE outcomes. Suman Chapagain
Dr. Suman Chapagain is a consultant urologist specializing in endourology, reconstructive surgery, uro-oncology, female and pediatric urology, and andrology, with a focus on laparoscopic urology and renal transplantation.
He completed his MCh in Urology from the Institute of Medicine, TU, in 2015 and his MS in General Surgery at BPKIHS in 2011. He has trained at leading institutions like Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital and Christian Medical College during his MCh.
Dr. Chapagain has presented at conferences, conducted workshops, and published in national and international journals. A member of several medical associations, he is currently an Assistant Professor of Urology at TUTH, IOM.
Alexander Haese
Dr. Alexander Haese is a distinguished Professor of Urology and the Director of the Robot-assisted Urologic Surgery Program at the Martini-Clinic Prostate Cancer Center, University Clinic Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany. With over 25 years of experience in urology and specialized expertise in robotic-assisted surgery, Dr. Haese is recognized as a leading figure in the field.
Dr. Haese has been an integral part of Martini-Clinic since 2008, having completed close to 5000 robot prostatectomies and has trained over 150 surgeons across 11 countries as a proctor for Intuitive Surgical.
His pioneering work in the early detection and management of prostate cancer has earned him numerous accolades, including the G.E. Konjetzny Prize of the Hamburg Cancer Society. Dr. Haese has also contributed to advancing scientific understanding through his research and has been awarded fellowship grants to work at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on the role of human glandular kallikrein 2 in prostate cancer.
An accomplished researcher, he has published extensively and serves as a reviewer for leading urology journals. Dr. Haese is a member of several professional organizations, including the German, European, and American Associations of Urology, underscoring his commitment to advancing the field both nationally and internationally.
Tai-Lung Cha
Dr. Cha is the Distinguished Investigator and Director of the National Institute of Cancer Research, National Health Research Institute, Professor of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, TSGH, NDMC, as well as Jointly Appointed Professor of Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica. Dr. Cha received his MD degree from the School of Medicine, National Defense Medical Center in 1990. He got his PhD degree from GSBS, The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2005.
Upon his return to Taiwan, he served as a surgeon-scientist dedicated to cancer diagnosis and treatment, along with his active participation in international anti-cancer drug development clinical trials worldwide, which has afforded him a profound understanding of the entire spectrum of cancer research. During his tenure as the full professor of the National Defense Medical Center, he was invited to be the convener of the Department of Nephrology, Urology, and Metabolism at the National Science Council, he possesses a comprehensive understanding of the nation’s scientific research direction and key points that would contribute to the advancement and connection of the basic and clinical research.
Dr. Cha has played numerous leadership roles in medicine and research. He served the Presidentship in NDMC and is a member of the Taiwan Medical Education Evaluation Committee, he strives to align Taiwan’s medical education with international standards collaboratively. Additionally, his involvement in the Medical Policy Council, directorship and supervision of the Health Policy Council, and roles in the National Innovation Award’s academic research and corporate innovation committees. He hasserved as the director of the Acer Foundation and the Revitalization Hospitals. He received the 2021 National Excellent Teacher Award from the Ministry of Education and was listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2021. Dr. Cha’s research interests concentrated on unraveling the mechanisms of cancer metastasis and progression and discovering innovative cancer treatments. His lab uncovered a novel cancer mitochondrial regulatory mechanism and identified a drug combination targeting this mechanism. This study was transferred to a biotechnology company.
After completing pre-clinical animal toxicity testing, this new drug combination obtained IND approval in Taiwan and the United States. Dr. Cha initiated and completed a Phase I clinical trial to assess the drug’s safety and preliminary efficacy for patients with advanced kidney cancer and other cancers resistant to multiple drug treatments. The biotechnology company collaborated with six medical centers in Australia for Phase I and Phase IIa clinical trials, leading to the prestigious 13th National Innovation Award. Over the past decade, Dr. Cha’s Lab identified a novel G protein-coupled receptor, mediating the evolution of cancer metastasis in various cancer types. Dr. Cha elucidated the fundamental molecular mechanisms governing the transition of cancer cells from paracrine to autocrine signaling regulation through the novel GPCR pathway.
